Visit to the local history museum

On September 20, at 2:00 p.m., students and teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University visited the Hnat Stelletskyi Lubny Museum of Local Lore.

The participants of the event were impressed by the aroma of mint in the museum premises, because it was about Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Lidia Panasivna Sheludko, thanks to which beautiful varieties of mint – “Lubenchanka”, “Zgadka”, “Mama”, “Lidia” are grown in different countries of the world.

Together with the scientists of the Research Station of Medicinal Plants Nina Kutsenko, Liudmyla Hlushchenko and guests from Poltava Viktor Samorodov and Serhii Pospelov, the museum’s scientific workers presented to the community a book dedicated to the memory of Lidia Sheludko, a world-class scientist.

Nataliia Kutsenko, a student of an outstanding researcher, told about her biography and her research career.

Vitalii Kurylo, the first vice-rector, chairman of the Academic Council, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the conversation with the guests of the museum.

The meeting took place in a warm, soulful atmosphere, and did not leave anyone present indifferent.
