Organizational meeting at the FNS

An organizational meeting of the departments of the FNS, dedicated to the beginning of the new 2023-24 academic year, was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The meeting was opened by the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Nataliia MATSAI, who congratulated her colleagues on the start of the new academic year. Nataliia Yuriivna emphasized that even during the full-scale war in our country, we have the opportunity to continue working thanks to our Hero Defenders, among whom are more than 400 winners and teachers of our faculty. With a moment of silence, the faculty honored the memory of all the Defenders of Ukraine and civilians who died in the war.

At the beginning of the new academic year, the team of the faculty was replenished with new employees and teachers. Mrs. Nataliia introduced the new members of the Dean’s Office – the leading specialist of the Dean’s Office Vira YAVTUSHENKO, Secretary of the Dean’s Office Yuliia PETRENKO and teachers of the departments – Iryna KRAVETS, associate professor of the Department of Biology and Agronomy, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences; Dmytro TIMCHUK, associate professor of the Department of Biology and Agronomy, Candidate of Biological Sciences; Inna TIMCHENKO, associate professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology, candidate of biological sciences; Iryna CHERYDNICHENKO, associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, and wished them satisfaction from their work, the realization of all joint professional ideas, and success in the work of the entire team of the faculty on the way to Victory.

The participants of the meeting were familiarized with the decisions of the University Academic Council regarding the identified priority areas of activity of the University, faculty, departments, student self-government, etc. The issue of introducing into the educational process Methodological recommendations on ensuring quality study, teaching and use of the English language in higher education institutions of Ukraine was discussed. 

The deputy dean for academic work Olha HUBSKA provided information on the peculiarities of educational activities at the location of the faculty in the city of Myrhorod, emphasized the peculiarities of the mixed format of education for full-time and part-time students. The peculiarity of the combination of off/online formats in the organization of the educational process at the faculty was discussed.

Iryna KYRPYCHOVA, deputy dean for scientific, international and project activities, identified the main directions of scientific, international and grant activities in the conditions of relocation to the Poltava region.

At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Nataliia wished everyone present good luck, the realization of all professional plans, confidence in the future and, of course, safety and victorious peace.
