Sustained effort of academic staff under evacuation has been duly appreciated at the VII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments 2016”.

Every Ukrainian has felt hard times in our country. Our university has happened to be in the eye of the storm. It has left the scene of fighting and evacuated to Starobilsk to continue its work. Almost for two years now university staff has been carrying on its educational activity despite the complicated conditions.

The university is proud of its members, teachers and students who have remained committed to native country and Alma Mater.

Thanks to hard work of academic staff, university has not just continued its work but retained the title of higher education flagman of Eastern Ukraine.

“In spite of evacuation we have kept our academic and student body. Of course, we have some problems with material and technical resources but we are overcoming the difficulties due to state support and international assistance. This makes university’s quality work possible”, – noted the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Vitalii Semenovych Kurylo.

Academic staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has been awarded Honorary Diploma “For courage and dedication in preserving the creative achievements of national education under the conditions of military aggression”.

“International recognizing the civil feat of university staff has made us to feel that we had not been alone with the problems, international and state educational society had put their faith. This recognition and support inspires us to further effective work”, – added LNU Rector Serhii Viktorovych Savchenko.

Participation in VII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments 2016” and obtaining new awards and gold medals shows that even under evacuation Luhansk National University successfully conducts research and education activity in accordance with the best world and national traditions, modern principles and the latest tendencies of education service development.
