Online Fair from the “Reconstruction and Development 2023: Employment and Business” program.

On August 30, on the ZOOM platform, Valentina Vovk, head of the Career Development Center of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, deputy directors for social and humanitarian work, and the Marketing Department took part in a large-scale employment fair with leading employers, held by the “Mariupol Youth Union” public organization with the support of the International Organization for Migration.

Of course, work occupies a significant place in the life of every person. Starting from February 2022, the life of every Ukrainian man and woman underwent irreparable and unfortunate changes, and the sphere of work was no exception. Currently, the unemployment rate in Ukraine has reached a record 33.3%, and thousands of Ukrainians have lost their jobs for various reasons. Many are faced with the need to start their career path from scratch, and employers are faced with a lack of personnel, the need to repurpose or relocate their business, and search for new employees.

Holding such an online Fair provides an opportunity for job seekers to learn about the current vacancies that will be in demand in the coming years, and for employers it is an opportunity to find motivated and qualified employees.

During the Fair, participants:

– got to know the leading employers of our country, from the IT industry to technical specialties;
– passed an interview with Ukrainian employers;
– who wanted, got the opportunity to get a job and improve their financial situation;
– met foreign employers and even had an interview at a foreign company;
– learned about current trends in the labor market and in-demand vacancies today and in the future;
– received effective tools for effective online interviews and writing a modern resume.

The Fair was attended by leading employers from the following industries:

– IT and communications;
– service and technical directions;
– online business in international companies.
