SOLEMN GREETING OF STUDENTS AT THE FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The Faculty of Foreign Languages began the academic year for students of all courses.

The solemn event on the occasion of the beginning of the academic year was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages on September 4 in a mixed format. The festive meeting was attended by students of 1-4 courses and the scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty.

The event was started with the welcoming speech of Doctor of Philology, Professor, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Victoriia Dmytrenko.

A welcoming speech was also given to the lecturer of the Translation Studies Department, Vice Dean in charge of Social and Humanitarian Affairs and the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Students Olha Korinska, who wished all those present a year full of positive events. The Vice Dean emphasized the need to order student tickets and the procedure for issuing scholarships for the first year. Applicants for education were also congratulated by the lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Vice Dean in charge of Academic Affairs Kateryna Bilobrovska, who spoke about the features of the educational process at the faculty.

The head of the student self-government of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Denys Seliverstov, in his speech congratulated the students and wished them creative inspiration. He also emphasized the rules of behavior in the dormitory, the ability to participate in general university and faculty events, and also by his own example told that it is necessary to evenly plan his time and study in accordance with the timetable.

The event featured advisers of academic groups of each specialty, heads of departments and employees of the dean’s office.

At the end of the event, freshmen were presented with gifts with the emblems of the university and faculty.

We wish all students and lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages fruitful work, a successful start of the new academic year, peace and victory.
