“Strongman Games-2023”

On August 26-27, the Open City Strongman Championship “Strongman Games-2023” among amateurs and professional athletes was held in Kyiv.

Strongmen from all over Ukraine and a team of strongmen from Estonia took part in the competition. The tournament was organized by the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kyiv City State Administration and the Federation of the Strongest Athletes of Ukraine and Tug of War.

The absolute winner of the tournament was Roman GREKOV, a master’s student of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty “Secondary Education, Physical Culture”. Roman Grekov is a member of the national team of Ukraine and in two weeks he is going to Lithuania to participate in the European Championship.

Volodymyr SAVASTIANOV, a master’s student of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports”, took the 5th place.

The chief referee of the “Strongman Games – 2023” was the judge of the international category, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, the bronze medalist of the 2023 European Championship Oleksandr DUBOVOI.
