Third Place in Research Papers Contest

Student of Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications takes the prize place in research papers contest.
Ukrainian Contest of Student Research Papers in Ukrainian language and literature has taken place at the premises of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University.
About one hundred student research papers have been submitted to the contest committee including 46 on Ukrainian language, 28 – on Ukrainian literature and 10 – on Ukrainian language and literature teaching methods.
Students from 27 cities of Ukraine have prepared their research papers: Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Drohobych, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Izmail, Kyiv, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Kirovohrad, Kryvyi Rih, Lviv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Starobilsk, Sumy, Uzhhorod, Uman, Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv.
Independent reviewers were refereeing research papers during January – February. Then at the end of February the jury chose 43 student research papers to be presented at the final stage. Authors were invited to ZIFSU to compete in the final stage of contest.
Our university was represented by the fourth-year student of “Ukrainian Language and Literature” from the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications Yuliia Dubova. Her scientific supervisor is the Dean of Faculty Tetiana Stepanivna Pinchuk.
Yuliia took the third place in the second stage and was awarded with diploma and certificate of participation.
“Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University welcomed everybody and created very warm atmosphere. I was impressed by all participants: all students were very much aware. Scientific discussion was relied not only on the qualified questions and answers but respect to each other. I am glad I met such people – my agemates, well educated, intelligent and interesting to talk to. It is great I had a chance to obtain new experience and knowledge. I am delighted that our work got the prize place and most importantly – aroused other researchers’ interest”, – shared her impressions student.
