Success in classic handball

The sports season in classic handball has ended.

Marat SAGDEIEV, a 1st-year master’s student majoring in “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)” as part of the Super League team, became the silver medalist of the Ukrainian Championship of the 2022-2023 season.

By the way, two years ago, the team of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, which included Marat Sagdeiev (far right in the photo), became the silver medalist of the 2021 Universiade of Ukraine.

It is especially nice for our first-year students Maksym RADCHENKO, specialty “Secondary Education (Physical Culture)” and Oleg IGNATCHENKO, specialty “Physical Culture and Sports”, who became champions of Ukraine as part of the Super League team of the 2022-2023 season. For the first time in the history of handball at our university, first-year students won championship titles.

At the beginning of August, the Championship of Ukraine in beach handball among adults was held in Cherkasy. Maksym VAKULA, a 3rd-year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”, became the best scorer of the competition and won the championship title with his teammates.

According to the Unified Sports Qualification of Ukraine, the indicated athletes have fulfilled the standard for awarding the title of MASTER OF SPORTS OF UKRAINE.
