Dear applicants!

Entering an institution of higher education, one can say that you choose your destiny.

The history of our University dates back to 1921 and is a vivid example of devotion to one’s work and country. Today, as before, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is a leading state institution of higher education for the training of qualified specialists at all educational and scientific levels and scientific degrees – bachelor’s, master’s, doctor of philosophy, doctor of science, and advanced training.

Now is an important and responsible moment in your life – a worthy start of your professional path, obtaining a high-quality higher education. This is the platform that will provide you with a future, will be the basis for further successes and victories. We thank you for your trust in our university and assure you that we will fully justify it.

Luhansk Taras Shevcheko National University has long become a recognizable brand. It is famous not only for its history, but also for its academic traditions, famous scientific achievements and graduates, well known not only in our country, but also abroad. Today, it is our former students who are making maximum efforts to build Ukraine’s European future.

The university staff also has many achievements, efforts and victories, which we are very proud of, because thanks to tireless work, our university is able to offer you the opportunity to obtain modern quality knowledge! Today, when drastic changes are taking place in the domestic education industry, our University responds promptly to all the challenges of the times and prepares specialists of the new generation, taking into account the requirements of the modern labor market.

The recognition of the university in the European and world educational space, active partnership and entry into international educational and scientific organizations are the strategic goals of the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. For the development of international cooperation, the university has an international service, which is represented by the Department of International Relations.

By the way, on June 21, 2022, at a meeting of the Council of the European Association of Universities in Brussels, a decision was made to grant individual full membership of the association to Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The inclusion of our university in the EAU contributes to its dynamic development according to the best European standards.

Taking into account the socio-political situation in Ukraine, education of the young generation’s sense of patriotism, devotion to the national cause of strengthening the country, active citizenship, etc., is becoming more and more relevant. In these conditions, the university’s priority area of work is the national-patriotic education of the individual, aimed at the formation of national-patriotic consciousness, personal identification with one’s nation, faith in the spiritual forces and the future of the country, the will to work for the benefit of the people; awareness of moral and cultural values.

An important component of the educational process at the university is the system of student self-government, the task of which is to increase social activity, initiatives of student youth, increase their responsibility, ensure and protect the rights and interests of students, promote the educational, scientific and creative activities of young people, mastery of organizational skills by students, head, involvement of student youth in administrative, economic, cultural and educational, international and other types of activities carried out at the university. Flash mobs, participation in trainings, volunteer actions – this is far from a complete list of what young people do.

The university makes a lot of efforts to create all the necessary conditions for the most successful design of a life start: building a career and successfully finding yourself as a professional. I am sure that soon you will definitely become our students, and later you will join the ranks of the best graduates of our university, of whom we are sincerely proud!
