The professional exams for the master’s degree after the bachelor’s degree in the specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” were held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”. 

Sports and health activities are one of the types of special industry activities that deal with the management of physical culture and sports oriented organizations, i.e. organizations whose activity product is physical culture and sports services.

Masters in specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” occupy a more significant place in the global economic space every year, as the total volume of the global sports industry market is constantly increasing. Managers are needed for the successful development of the sports industry. It is also important to involve different groups of the population in health and recreational physical activity to implement effective management – to create motivation, to select qualified specialists, to create a zone of economic comfort. Because of this, the demand for master’s level specialists in the field of physical culture and sports is growing every year. Representatives of this profession know how to select and manage a team.

The purpose of the educational master’s program is to train high-level specialists with modern management thinking, a system of special knowledge in the field of sports facility management, who possess fundamental and practical skills in the management of sports and health activities and are able to apply them.

By the way, Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Dubovoi, director and teacher of the ER IPES, master of sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, member of the national all-around team of Ukraine, became the European champion in the team event and set a world record in power extreme, which was held in the city of Zaporizhzhia. The institute has more than 20 students-masters of sports of Ukraine, 3 masters of sports of the international class, and 2 honored coaches of Ukraine work.
