Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is a higher educational institution that has been a standard of quality of Ukrainian education for 102 years and carries out research and educational activities guided by the best world and national traditions, modern principles and the latest trends in the development of educational services.

- Educational and Research Institute of Public Management, Administration and Postgraduate Education;
- Faculty of Foreign Languages;
- Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism;
- Faculty of Natural Sciences.
6 professional colleges trains professional junior bachelors:
- Bryanka Professional College;
- Kadiivka Pedagogical College;
- Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College;
- Rubizhne Professional College;
- Starobilsk Professional College;
- Professional College of LTSNU.
The Regional Center for Professional Education of LTSNU (Starobilsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna branches) trains qualified workers.
The dynamic development of the university makes it popular, famous and competitive. The institution has undergone serious structural changes, is improving its work with international partners, and is becoming a leader in education on the domestic market.
Implementation of international activities of the university involves:
– development of cooperation with foreign universities and scientific centers, foundations in the field of education, scientific research, training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel, search for international grants;
– conclusion of bilateral agreements with foreign universities on mutual recognition of diplomas;
– achieving mobility of students, teachers, researchers, and university managers;
– resumption of work and creation of new centers of education, science and culture of LTSNU partner countries with an educational and cultural mission, as well as with the aim of increasing the number of foreign students.
The university has concluded cooperation agreements with the following countries: Great Britain, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, the People’s Republic of China, Latvia, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, the United States of America and others.
The educational offer of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University covers about 250 specialties, educational programs and professions.
Our University is the first educational institution in the region that is a valid member of the International and European Association of Universities. LTSNU was the first in Ukraine to twice successfully pass the evaluation procedure by experts from leading European universities under the Institutional Evaluation Program of the European Association of Universities, which led to its dynamic development according to the best European standards
According to the Internet rankings Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics) and World Universities Web Ranking (uniRank), which determine the level of presence of educational institutions in the Internet environment, our university shows high indicators and occupies leading positions in the region.
