Creative competitions are ongoing at the ER IPES

The creative competitions are ongoing at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.
The creative competition at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports is held in order to identify and assess the physical abilities of entrants to obtain a bachelor’s degree on the basis of complete general secondary education in the specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” and consists of standards of general physical fitness that reflect the level of physical fitness of entrants.
The grade from the creative competition of entrants is given on a 200-point scale. The minimum number of points for admission to the competition for admission is 100 points.
The creative competition is held within one day according to the schedule of the admissions committee.
Persons who have undergone a medical examination and provided, when submitting an application, a medical certificate about their health status, have clearly understood the purpose of their participation in it, are familiar with the equipment and safety rules during their implementation, are allowed to perform the norms of the creative competition in physical culture. In case of unsatisfactory health, it is not recommended to participate in the creative competition. Persons admitted to the test must be dressed in appropriate sports clothes and shoes.
Before the creative competition, entrants are advised about the conditions for performing creative competition exercises and the place of testing. The time for testing each exercise of the creative competition is 3-5 minutes per entrant.
The creative competition is also held remotely using telecommunication technologies. When composing the creative competition exercises remotely, the entrant’s full height should be visible on the screen, regardless of the position relative to the floor.
Creative competitions at the ER IPES will continue until July 31, 2023.

Despite the restrictions caused by the martial law in Ukraine, recent years have been fruitful for our athletes in the sports arena. So, for example, Kostiantyn Musienko, a master’s student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports”, became the European champion in powerlifting at the international level. Danilo Kovalov, a master’s student majoring in in “Physical Culture and Sport” set a new world record at the World Championship.
Daria Rusanenko, a first-year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” set a new Ukrainian record at the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship. More than 30 athletes became champions of Ukraine in various sports.
The director and teacher of the ER IPES, master of sports of Ukraine in powerlifting, member of the national team of Ukraine, Oleksandr Dubovoi became the European championship in the team event and set the world record in power extreme, which was held in the city of Zaporizhzhia.
Today, more than 20 students-masters of sports of Ukraine, 3 masters of sports of the international class, 2 honored coaches of Ukraine are working at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports. The Institute is headed by an engaged worker of physical culture and sports of Ukraine. With their achievements, they traditionally raise the authority of the University and our Motherland in the world.
