Participation in the meeting of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine

On July 13, the Head of the Academic Council Vitalii Kurylo, Rector Olena Karaman and Acting Head of the Student Self-Government, Anna Berendiaieva, took part in the meeting of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the results of the national multi-subject test (NMT), the unified entrance exam (UEE), the unified professional entrance test (UPET) and the formation of the state order for 2023 were discussed. They also talked about cooperation with student self-government bodies.

The central issue of the meeting of the Union was the discussion of the joint declaration of the Public Organization “Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine” and the heads of the student self-government of Ukraine “On cooperation to achieve victory and peace, European integration and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine”. Managers and student leaders of higher education institutions of Ukraine expressed a common desire to deepen cooperation in improving the quality of education and research processes, improving practical training, cooperation with business, strengthening international relations, integration with higher education institutions of the European Union, the United States and other countries, joint activities with protection of social rights of youth, assistance to students in difficult wartime.

It was agreed to hold permanent consultations, joint discussion of today’s acute problems, coordination of efforts to rebuild Ukraine, help residents of the affected areas, help young men and women find employment, find their place in the state, etc.

In general, the meeting turned out to be very constructive and progressive.
