“Line and Space”

Teachers of the ER ICA took part in the All-Ukrainian Art Exhibition “Line and Space”.
On July 12, 2023, the grand opening of the All-Ukrainian Art Exhibition of the drawing “Line and Space” took place in the exhibition hall of the Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery) named after Mykola Yaroshenko.
The co-organizers of the exhibition were the Department of Culture, Youth and Family of the Poltava City Council, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the Poltava Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The exhibition featured works of art by both young artists and well-known representatives of the artistic elite from different parts of our country: Kharkiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kremenchuk, Lubny, and others. Our teachers of the Department of Fine and Decorative and Applied Arts including Inna Gurzhii, Oleksii Sobolevskyi, Dmytro Korshunov took part in the event.
This year, the exhibition was dedicated to the works of Oleksandr Tarasenko, a Poltava resident, artist, teacher, who stood up for defense in the first days of the war and died. Most of the young artists of Poltava are his students, because he taught in higher educational institutions for more than 30 years. Since 2017, he has worked as an Associate Professor at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The main direction of the exhibition was drawing with the help of materials: pencils, charcoal, sauce, sangina, sepia, tun, liner, marker, ballpoint pen, and pen.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibition was attended by teachers of the Department of Design and the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts.
