Creative competitions began

Creative contests for specialty 017 “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” have been launched.

On July 7, the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the SI “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” held a creative competition on physical fitness for entrants to the bachelor’s degree under the educational program 017 “Physical Culture and Sports. Sports” on the basis of the complete general secondary education.

14 entrants took part in the first day of the creative competition. The parents of the entrants were also present at the stadium, who sincerely cheered for their athletes.

The creative competition is held according to the approved program and consists of one round – a set of four physical exercises for strength, speed and flexibility. These are bending and stretching of the arms in a supine position (women), pull-ups on the supine position (men), raising the trunk in a sitting position, bending the trunk forward from a sitting position and long jump from a standing position.

According to the rules of admission to our university, each exercise is evaluated on a scale from 0 to 50 points according to the criteria specified in the program. The grade from the creative competition of entrants is given on a 200-point scale. The minimum number of points for admission to the competition for enrollment is 100 points.
