Olympic Day is a holiday of sports, health, harmony and beauty!

On June 22, continuing the traditions of “Olympic Day”, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted Olympic Day – a sports holiday, where everyone could feel like a real OLYMPIAN.

The event is organized by the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports, the director of which is Oleksandr Dubovoi – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Master of Sports of Ukraine of the International Class, Master of Sports of Ukraine in Powerlifting, with the aim of developing the Olympic Movement in Ukraine, spreading the ideas of Olympism among citizens of the country, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, involvement of broad segments of the population in regular physical education and sports.

Everyone was invited to the Olympic Day: teachers, university employees, students and just sports fans.

The sports event began with the greeting of Vitalii Kurylo, Chairman of the Academic Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Volodymyr Moroz, Head of the Primary Trade Union Organization, and Oleksandr Dubovoi, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

All the participants of this event found something useful and positive for themselves and joined the fun exercise with the champions and the track and field run.

This day symbolizes the positive power of sport, social cohesion, peaceful coexistence and promotes the development of Olympic ideas and values, bringing people together.
