State final certification of mathematicians
21.6.2023
On June 13 and 14, the final state certification of bachelor’s students majoring in 014 “Secondary Education (Mathematics)” took place.
The final certification took place in the form of a state qualifying exam in mathematics and mathematics teaching methods and a state qualifying exam in physics and physics teaching methods using the online Google Meet platform.
The members of the examination commissions for mathematics and physics were present, headed by Oksana Odintsova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Physics and their teaching methods of Sumy State A.S. Makarenko Pedagogical University.
The Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies Hennadii Mohylnyi began the work of the commissions with a welcoming speech.
The mathematics examination papers consisted of questions covering such key disciplines as mathematical analysis, analytic geometry, linear algebra, algebra and number theory, as well as methods of teaching mathematics. Physics tickets contained questions that required knowledge of molecular physics and the basics of thermodynamics, mechanics, optics, atomic and nuclear physics, including physics teaching methods. After some preparation, the students submitted their answers, and the members of the examination committee asked each bachelor’s student the necessary questions. It is good that most of the graduates answered thoroughly and received favorable reviews. Karina Bukhtiiarova and Olesia Adamovych received the best marks on the national scale according to the state certification results for both exams.
The head of the comission, Oksana Odintsova, was informed that all bachelor’s students quite confidently completed the tasks from the selected tickets and answered most of the questions. The director announced that the winners were awarded the appropriate professional qualifications. The members of the commissions expressed their sincere wishes to the graduates, and the bachelor’s students expressed their gratitude to the teachers.
The Department of Algebra and System Analysis wishes our graduates success in their teaching activities and invites them to obtain a master’s degree in secondary education in mathematics in the future!
