Children’s Protection Day

A concert for the Day for Protection of Children’s was held at the university, organized together with the SOS Children’s Villages Association.

On June 1, students and teachers of Luhansk  Taras Shevchenko National University, united by a common goal, presented a holiday to the Luhansk diaspora in Poltava, with which the SOS Children’s Village International Charity Organization work. The event took place on the stage of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade. 

Congratulatory words were delivered by: Artem Lysogor, head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration; Vitalii Kurylo, head of the Academic Council of LTSNU; Rector of LTSNU Olena Karaman; the director of the Luhansk regional branch of the International Charitable Organization SOS Children’s Villages of Ukraine Liudmyla Kharchenko and the representative of the Luhansk diaspora of parents in the Poltava region, mother Anastasia Vostrykova.

Also, children under the care of SOS Children’s Villages presented the guests of honor with products and paintings they had created with their own hands. It was a very warm and touching moment.

Festive performances were shown by students and teachers of the Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU.

The concert started by the Orchestra of Wind Instruments of the ER ICA with the compositions “Stefania” and “Rolling in the Deep”, under the direction of Yulia Danylchenko.

Then there were tender and fragile, fiery and sometimes unexpected choreographic, vocal and instrumental performances by teachers, students and graduates of the ER ICA.

The concert will conclude with a performance by the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the National Academy of Music, under the direction of Svitlana Tyshchyk.

And after the last performance, social workers of SOS Children’s Villages distributed gifts to the children and took them to the “Play Bus”, games in the fresh air.

The concert was a success in one breath, the guests were presented with happiness and positive emotions, and all because light from the heart was poured into the action.
