Children’s Day in Myrhorod

In Myrhorod, employees and students of the university subdivisions congratulated the children on the holiday.

International Children’s Day is celebrated on June 1 all over the world. The holiday was founded in Paris in 1949 at the initiative of the International Democratic Federation of Women to draw attention to the problems that children have. Fairs, sales and entertainment events for children are traditionally held on the holiday. On this day, schoolchildren rejoice at the beginning of summer vacation.

Unfortunately, the 2023 Children’s Day in Ukraine is taking place in conditions of full-scale war. Hundreds of thousands of children were forced to temporarily leave the country, tens of thousands await air raids in shelters, thousands live in the war zone. The war touched the life of every little Ukrainian. Therefore, on this holiday, it is especially important for adults to support children and show that we are always there.

The children of the Myrhorod Special School were congratulated by employees and students of education subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The children received a lot of positive emotions from communicating with the animated character “Teddy Bear”, which became an unforgettable surprise. Also, the young participants of the event took part in the drawing contest on the asphalt, creating many wonderful compositions. A good end to the holiday was a treat with goodies prepared by school and university employees.

Congratulations to the children of Ukraine! Health to all and clear days! Let peace come soon in Ukraine, and all Ukrainian children will no longer know the horrors of war!
