Open Day

On May 26-27, the team of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports took part in the “Professions Fair” and “Open Day” events. 

The “Profession Fair” and “Open Day” were held by Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for the residents of the Lubny community. At the presentation exhibition of sports achievements, in the lobby of the “Kyivska Rus” cinema, along with the information stands of other structural subdivisions of the university, medals and awards won by teachers and students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports at the World, European and National Championships were presented.

Oleksandr DUBOVOI, director of ER IPES, master of sports of Ukraine of international class, member of the National Team of Ukraine, held a master class in lifting the 50 kg wrestling dumbbell for those present. Those willing to overcome such a weight were also found in the exhibition hall.

Also, the ER IPES together with the Marketing Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Luhansk regional branch of the NOC of Ukraine held an online meeting “OLYMPIC LAB” during the exhibition in the direction “Development/welfare – get to know yourself”! with school graduates of the Luhansk region in the number of 102 people. During the event Oleksandr Dubovoi told the youth about the advantages of studying at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the conditions for admission to the structural subdivisions of the university.

The directorate of the institute expresses its sincere thanks to the organizers of the event and the head of the Lubny City Council, Oleksandr HRYTSAIENKO, for the opportunity to tell the residents of the Lubny region about the sports life of the university and to present the Institute of Physical Education and Sports to future entrants and all lovers of a healthy lifestyle, physical culture and sports.
