Scientific activity

Complex scientific research topic of the Department of Design is “Culturological and Pedagogical Problems of Design Activity and Training of Future Designers”. It is performed in the following directions: theory and history of design education development; culturological, art and artistic and aesthetic principles of design education development at the modern stage; innovative technologies and methods of organizing educative process in the system of design education.

The lecturers of the Department of Production Technology and Professional Education work on the following scientific problems: researching production technology of products of special purpose composite materials, processes of forming, creating and controlling automated technological systems; researching processes of bulk materials separation; product quality control, preprocessor and postprocessor of CAD mechanical systems; development of high load gears; improving technical and operational parameters of ICE; researching operational properties of iron-carbon alloys operating in extreme conditions; improving efficiency of technological process of grain crops sowing; anthropometric and methodological providing corselet design process; machines and devices of agricultural industry; agricultural equipment, automobile repair and diagnosis; deformable solid body mechanics, development and modernization of agricultural equipment; clothing design for pregnant women; professional engineering education management; professional competence formation of future engineering teachers; methods of labor and professional training.

Scientific and research activity of the Department of Commodity Research, Commercial Business and Products Expertise is focused on obtaining new knowledge in the questions of commodity research, commercial activity, product quality expertise and professional education in the field of commodity research, production expertise and commercial activity. Department’s generalised study subject is merchandising, business, managerial, expert, pedagogical activity in the field of commodity circulation, customs control and consumer rights protection.

The main directions of education and scientific activity of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business include the following ones: training of skilled tourism specialists according to the latest technologies that satisfies modern requirements and needs; study of tourist and resource potential of Ukraine; presentation of historical and cultural regional heritage as the direction of the excursion activity; development and improvement of the regional tourist product; making a marketing research of market of tourist and hotel and restaurant services of region and Ukraine; development and implementation of the latest service technologies to the hotel and restaurant business.

The scientific interests of the lecturers of the Department of Food Technology are centered on the issues related to the development of new functional food products and improvement of existing food product technologies to make them functional; new resource-saving technologies of food industry; food products using hydrobionts; waste regaining technologies.

The results of the scientific researches of the Institute of Trade, Customer Services and Tourism are published in the monographs and scientific articles of the department lecturers and approbated at the research conferences of the international, Ukrainian and regional levels.
