Student-mathematician is the winner of the competition

Student-mathematician Evgen Zhydkov became the winner of the II round of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers.

The II stage of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers by branches of knowledge and specialties in 2020-2021 has come to an end, the main goal of which is to train specialists of a new generation of European level, to form their knowledge and skills in research activities, to stimulate creative self-improvement of student youth.

It should be noted that over the past years we have been tracking the growth dynamics of the number of branches of knowledge and specialties of the competition, as well as the level of interest in it among students. Our university is no exception.

On April 29, 2021, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, hosted the final II round of the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers in the field of knowledge “Mathematics and Statistics. Applied Mathematics (Mechanics)”.

The members of the authoritative jury, which included leading scientific and pedagogical workers, noted and highly appreciated the scientific work and defense of Evgen Zhydkov, 4th year student majoring in 014 “Secondary Education (Mathematics. Physics)”, the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” on the topic “About one class of trioids”.

Evgen Zhydkov investigated some topical issues of modern algebra. The main result of his work is the construction of a new class of trioids.

According to the results of participation in the competition, Yevgen Zhydkov took the second place.

Congratulations to Evgen Zhydkov and his supervisor, Professor Anatolii Volodymyrovych Zhuchok, ​​as well as the team of the Department of Algebra and Systems Analysis on this victory!
