The Meeting with Christoph Brumme
A meeting with a German writer-publicist took place at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
On October 7, 2020, at the Foreign Languages Department, students met with the German writer-publicist Christoph Brumme, the author of the book “111 Gründe, die Ukrainezulieben” (111 reasons to love Ukraine). Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Elena Ivanovna Kobzar organized and prepared students for a meeting with the writer.
The presentation of the book gave all those present a good opportunity to hear the impressions of a foreigner about life in Ukraine, to look at their own history, culture and politics from a different perspective, to communicate in German with a native speaker. The students actively participated in the dialogue with the writer and Elena Ivanovna, asked questions. Thanks to Mr. Brumme for a bright story, interesting information and constructive criticism, which encourages new achievements. Intercultural communication is an integral part of improving the language level of students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages!
