LNU students took part in the festival-fair “Starobilsk Talisman”.
The event was conducted on the initiative of Starobilsk District Public Human Rights Women’s Organization “Viktoriia” with support of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
The festival was conducted on September 26 in Starobilsk Park. The idea of a project came a month ago. All students and schoolchildren responded to the call to hold the first festival-fair in Starobilsk.
The festival presented the works of the students of LNU and Professional Lyceum of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the pupils of Starobilsk gymnasium and city comprehensive schools, the pupils of Liman, Butovo, Polovinkino, Chmyrivka and Podhorovka schools.
It was difficult to choose the best talisman – all presented works were bright and beautiful. After careful consideration the jury chose the winners and awarded them with the prizes:
- Sofiia Melezhyk;
- Yahodyn’s family;
- Artem Lysykh;
- Olha Honcharova;
- Nikiforov’s family.
The best talismans are given to the museum where they will be stored during the year and will protect people from harm.
The organizers of the festival wish it was annual. So they could create not just a new tradition but a new holiday for the city citizens. It became the good support for the historical memory of people, keeping traditions and the important part of patriotic education of the youth.
The majority of the works was created by the all members of the family. This is the best proving that in this difficult time the older generation teaches children to remember the past and to protect present and future!
