Tour through Picturesque Poltava
Students of Faculty of Foreign Languages had a small walk-tour through the beauty sights in the center of Poltava.
And though some of them joked that a walk from PUET to the Rotunda of Peoples Friendship was their every evening route, many of the students have gone to the most famous cultural monuments in the city for the first time.
Their way was through the Korpusnyi Sad with the monument of Glory in the center. There is a unique architectural ensemble in provincial classicism style around it. Students were glad to take pictures in front of the monument.
Of course, the students stopped near Taras Shevchenko monument because our university proudly bears his name. Poltava’s monument is unusual because it is performed in Constructivism style. Pedestal is like a lot of planes with a magnificent figure of the poet occurs from them.
The last in the route were Sviato-Uspenskyi Cathedral, monument to Poltava’s dumpling and great colonnade of Rotunda of Peoples Friendship.
Everybody enjoyed a glorious view from the height of Ivanova Mountain on the valley of Vorskla, Poltava’s Podol and Levada.
