Modern Ukrainian Girl – 2020

The Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology held a photo contest “Modern Ukrainian Girl – 2020”.

Every year, every third Thursday of May, Ukraine celebrates the Vyshyvanka Day – the All-Ukrainian holiday designed to preserve and popularize the tradition of wearing national clothes in everyday life.

Female beauty is a powerful force. Since ancient times, a woman was considered the guardian of family comfort. The Ukrainian girl personifies not only wisdom, tenderness, beauty and thrift, but also courage. Looking at historical moments, one can see that women were never inferior to men, both at the household and political, social levels.

Our Ukrainian girls manage to combine seemingly incompatible features.

Since the time when, for example, the traditional Ukrainian outfit was everyday clothing, many years have passed, but even now, it remains a trend.

Ukrainian vyshyvanka has become universal clothing for any event, and it is also easy to combine with everyday wardrobe items.

On Vyshyvanka Day, the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology organized a photo contest among students “Modern Ukrainian Girl – 2020ˮ. All structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the photo contest.
