Meeting with the representatives of the NRC
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) continues to provide assistance to people affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
On March 21, 2019, a meeting of teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology with representatives of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Ukraine (NRC) was held at the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”. The NRC’s strategy is aimed at meeting the needs of internally displaced persons and conflict-affected populations, especially along the demarcation line in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions (in areas under government control and non-government control). During the meeting, Rostislav Valentynovych acquainted the listeners with the program of support for internally displaced persons.
The attention was paid on such issues: issuing an electronic pass; conditions for crossing the demarcation line; obtaining certificate of the child’s birth, marriage; collection of documents for the recovery of lost property; the procedure for preparing a certificate of death of a person, etc. In addition, he noted that the NRC provides legal services and advice by calling the hotline, as well as during mobile trips to mobile teams of lawyers and in the center for temporary accommodation of internally displaced persons in the city of Severodonetsk.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Ukraine gave detailed answers to the questions raised and distributed information sheets.
