“Events That Changed Us”
A curatorial hour for the first and second year students “Events That Changed Us” was held in the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business.
On November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom, which united two landmark events in the modern history of the country – the Orange Revolution 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity 2013.
In order to convey to the modern generation objective information about the fateful events in Ukraine of the beginning of the XXI century, as well as to give due respect to the patriotism and courage of citizens who defended democratic values, human rights and freedoms, national interests of our state and its European choice, students watched the video “Day of Dignity and Freedom: a Chronology of Two Revolutions”, “Day of Dignity and Freedom: How Maidan Changed the Ukrainian.” All participants of the event honored the fighters for the freedom of Ukraine with a minute of silence.
Valerii Khmel, Director of the University of IEB, told students about the events of 2013-2014 in Luhansk, about the participation of teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in Luhansk Euromaidan. After reviewing the presentation on the concept of dignity and freedom, students expressed their thoughts. The discussion was attended by teachers Maria Matushkina and Olga Savchenko.
