The peculiarity lies in the fact that in the course of its mastery students do not acquires knowledge of the fundamentals of science, but learn the ability and skills to use the language as a means of communication and obtaining new useful information. This is facilitated by the communicative component of the subject, its focus being on the study of everyday life, customs and traditions of other people. According to Fedycheva NV, the content of teaching materials should be constantly updated, taking into account the challenges of society and meeting the needs of young people in terms of their intellectual development. The content may include materials devoted to democratic values. The publication determines the potential of the foreign language in the study of values and highlights the forms and methods of work that can ensure their formation.
