“The Colors Are Intertwined With a Rainbow”

The exhibition “The Colors Are Intertwined with a Rainbow” dedicated to the World Vyshyvanka Day was held at the University.

The festive mood filled the hearts of the students and staff of LTSNU today. In the morning in the hall of the University, there was a preparation for the traditional exhibition, the organizers of which were lecturers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

The main purpose of the event was the demonstration of the aesthetics of Ukrainian traditional folk embroidery and familiarization with the content of patterns – ancient information sign systems.

Students and lecturers from all structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the exhibition. Everyone tried to impress with the creativity and originality of the works, modern embroidered shirts presented at the event, which have a deep connection with the traditions of folk embroidery, preserve their spiritual meaning and prove that folk art, like a folk song, is a great asset of our centuries-old culture.

The work of the participants was appreciated by the distinguished jury. After detailed acquaintance with the works, the organizers announced the results of the contest “The Colors Are Intertwined with a Rainbow” in nominations:

I place – “My Vyshyvanka”, completed by Yulia Beshenko, master student majoring in “Technology of Light Industry Products”.

II place – “Motives of Starobilsk Land”, completed by Iryna Maslovska, 3rd-year student majoring in “Preschool Education”.

III place – “Pictures from beads”, completed by E.N. Krutko, Deputy Director of the Starobilsk Humanitarian-Pedagogical College of LTSNU.

Nomination “Variety of Slobozhanska Embroidery”, completed by Anastasia Mazneva, 2nd-year student majoring in “Design”.

Nomination “Waiting for Life”, completed by Daria Rudaya, 1st-year student majoring in “Ecology”.

Nomination “Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine”, completed by Yulia Svistula, 1st-year student majoring in “Primary Education and Russian Language and Literature”.

Nomination “For the Preservation of Family Traditions”, completed by Anastasia Klyuchka, 1-year student majoring in “Secondary education. Ukrainian Language and Literature”.

Nomination “The ancient products: the soul sprouts of them”, competed by the student team of the Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences.

During the gala concert, the winners were awarded with prizes, which were given by the Primary Trade Union Organization of the University.
