Participation in the round table
The Director of the IPP Olena Karaman took part in the round table on the discussion of the draft Concept of Pedagogical Education Development.
Olena Karaman, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor became a participant of the round table on the discussion of the draft Concept of Pedagogical Education Development.
April 12, 2018 at the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, a round table was held to discuss the draft Concept of the Development of Pedagogical Education with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliia Grynevych, acting chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education Oleksandr Spivakovsky, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Kremen, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as rectors of pedagogical universities, directors of pedagogical colleges and schools; their representatives.
Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was represented by Olena Karaman, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. She took part in the discussion of the draft Concept; made a number of suggestions and comments on the content of this document.
It should be noted that the University immediately joined the discussion of the draft Concept since its promulgation on the eve of the New Year. Some of the proposals and comments from the University have already been taken into account and included in the document at the level of discussion at the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education.
The concept is being developed with the aim of improving the system of pedagogical education for creating a base for the training of pedagogical and scientific workers of the new generation, creating conditions for attracting the best professionals of other professions to pedagogical and scientific activity and providing the conditions for the formation and development of modern alternative models of continuous professional and personal development of teachers, which, among other things, will become a key condition for the implementation of the Concept of Realization State Policy in the field of reforming general secondary education “New Ukrainian School” for the period up to 2029.
We hope that after the amendments are introduced, the Concept of Pedagogical Education Development will become a strategic plan for the development of pedagogical education in the conditions of the information society and modern challenges; the basis for resolving the contradiction between the demands of Ukrainian society for highly qualified pedagogical workers, prospects for its development, global technological changes and the existing system of pedagogical education, as well as the unavailability of teachers to perceive and implement educational reforms in Ukraine.
