Independence Day of Turkmenistan
In the city of Poltava, the Faculty of Foreign Languages celebrated the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.
October 27 is a significant day not only for students and teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, which turned 25 years old, but also for our foreign students. October 27, 1991 the Verkhovna Rada of the Turkmen SSR passed a law “On Independence and the Principles of the State System of Turkmenistan.” This date is also considered the day of declaration of independence of Turkmenistan.
Students from Turkmenistan (there are about hundred Turkmen students study at the Faculty) decided to celebrate the significant date of the history of their country and invited our students and teachers to participate in this event.
On the stage of the assembly hall of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade, an incredible action took place – during which we, the Ukrainians, learned about the culture and history of Turkmenistan, saw real national dances and even tried traditional food prepared by foreign students.
We congratulate students from Turkmenistan on such a significant event!
