Freshman of LTSNU participated in the European Championship
A freshman of LNU, athlete Bohdan Buryachek was a member of the Ukrainian team at the European Championship.
From December 4 to 15, the European Championship among juniors up to 20 years and young people up to 23 years took place in Eilat (Israel). For the first time in recent years, the Ukrainian weightlifting team was presented in two complete teams – 29 athletes. The first-year student majoring in “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports Bohdan Buryachek was in the national team.
In the weight category up to 105 kg Bohdan became the seventh with a score 151 kg in the snatch and 188 kg in clean and jerk. It should be noted that a week before the competition, our student received a significant knee injury, but this did not prevent him from entering the top ten athletes of Europe.
Let us wish Bohdan a speedy recovery and the first steps on the World Championships!
In general, Ukrainian juniors and young people won 45 medals, 19 of which have the highest standard.
